Grant Humphreys
CEOSince November 2000, Grant Humphreys has formed and/or managed several companies which acquire, develop, and/or operate commercial real estate. Humphreys Real Estate Investments, LLC’s portfolio includes more than 60 properties located in the Midwest and Southeast. Properties include net-leased product such as Love’s Country Stores, QuikTrip, Steak ‘n Shake, CVS and SteinMart, bulk warehouse and development land. The self-storage component of Humphreys’ portfolio consists of thirteen facilities totaling more than 800,000 square feet under the ‘StoreRoom Self-Storage’ brand in the Oklahoma City MSA. Daily operations are managed through StoreRoom Management, LLC, a third-party property management company formed by Humphreys to operate self-storage facilities for passive owners. Grant’s duties have included acting as the general contractor on development projects, property acquisition, recruitment and training of facility management personnel and site selection of future locations.
In the fall of 2004, Humphreys began a focused effort to develop mixed-use projects in Oklahoma City’s urban core. In the summer of 2005, the Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority selected Humphreys to redevelop a key parcel of land located on NE 4th Street and Central. This site is the location of “Block 42”, a high-end condominium project offering 42 modern urban dwellings. Block 42, which broke ground in June of 2006 and will be completed in the fall of 2007, will be among the first owner-occupied housing built in downtown Oklahoma City in decades. The Block 42 project also sets a new standard for sustainable design as the only LEED certified project in Oklahoma City. Other projects in the pipeline for Humphreys include “The Flatiron”, a seven-story mixed-use development project in the vicinity of Block 42 and the master planning and ultimate development of the former Downtown Airpark, an 81-acre site on the Oklahoma River. The Downtown Airpark redevelopment will transform an under-utilized Brownfield site into a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use project designed to provide urban-infill smart growth and sustainability.
Grant and Jenifer Humphreys live in the historic preservation district of Oklahoma City with their four children – Emma Grace, Ford, Jack & Mary. They attend Bridgeway Church in Oklahoma City. Grant is a private pilot and enjoys golf, backpacking and fly-fishing.
